Singles are welcome on every tour we offer on this site.
Tour companies generally require solo
travelers to pay a single supplement for a private room, and those
rates are listed for each tour. Some companies help solo travelers
avoid the single supplement by offering a singles share program, where
participants are matched with a roommate of the same gender. Details
of singles policies for each of our tour operators are listed below.

Abercrombie & Kent (Luxury)
Abercrombie & Kent will make every effort to arrange shared
accommodations for single travelers when requested to do so. If the
request cannot be honored, a single supplement will apply.
Adventures by Disney (Deluxe Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
African Travel (Deluxe)
Upon request, African Travel will make every effort to arrange shared
accommodations for single travelers. If the request cannot be honored,
a single supplement will apply.
Brendan (First Class)
Brendan does not accept single reservations on a "share" basis.
Single rooms are available on most tours for a supplemental cost. If you
do pay for a single supplement, please be aware that some hotels are
occasionally unable to provide all the types of rooms Brendan requests.
In this rare event, you will be asked to share a room with a tour member
of the same gender. Your Tour Director will issue the appropriate refund
immediately.
Brennan (Deluxe)
Single guests who are willing to share accommodations with another participant must advise Brennan at the time of booking. The single supplement is charged initially. If Brennan finds another guest who is willing to share accommodations before departure, they will refund the difference between the per person single price and the per person twin price after you have traveled. "Shares" cannot be guaranteed.
CIE Tours (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement.
Collette (Deluxe)
Single guests who are willing to share accommodations with another
participant must advise Collette at the time of booking. The single
supplement is charged initially. If, two weeks prior to the day of
departure, another guest is willing to share accommodations, the
single supplement will be refunded. "Shares" cannot be guaranteed.
Contiki (Budget)
Contiki will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender.
Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.
Cosmos (Budget)
For most tours, Cosmos will match single travelers with a roommate of the
same gender, if requested. This share program is not available on some
tours. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the
single supplement.
Cruise West (Deluxe)
Singles travel at the twin rate in B or C cabins aboard the Spirit of Columbia
or the Spirit of Alaska. The Spirit of '98 and Spirit of Discovery both offer
single cabins. In addition, single rates are available on all cabins and all
departures, at a surcharge over the twin price. Cruise West also offers a single
share program and if you book a single-share cabin in one of the eligible
categories, you are guaranteed to travel in that category (or perhaps even higher)
at the twin price.
GAP Adventures (First Class)
Most of GAP's trips do not have a single supplement. This means that the
accommodation is on a twin share basis and, if you are traveling on your
own, you will be sharing a room with another GAP traveler of the same sex.
Some tours, however, have an optional single supplement or occasionally a
mandatory single supplement. You can ask your travel counselor about this
when you inquire about the tour you are interested in taking.
Gate 1 Travel (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
General Tours (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Globus (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Gutsy Women Travel (First Class)
Gutsy Women will make every effort to arrange shared accommodations for single travelers
when requested to do so, but there is no guarantee for single share accommodations. A
single supplement will apply when the request cannot be honored.
Hurtigruten Cruises (Deluxe)
There is a limited selection of cabins available for single occupancy. A single
supplement charge is applied in high season only, and has been eliminated for select
cabin categories in shoulder and off-season (January through April and September through
December). A single share program is not offered.
Insight (Deluxe)
Insight will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender. Single
travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.
LeisureScapes (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
Lindblad Expeditions (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
Majestic America Cruises (First Class)
Single travelers pay 165% of the per person double occupancy rate for category CC and below, and 200% for category B and above. There is no single share program available.
Maupintour (Deluxe)
Maupintour will make every effort to arrange shared accommodations for single
travelers when requested to do so. If the request cannot be honored, a single
supplement will apply.
Perillo Tours (Deluxe)
A limited number of single rooms are available at the supplement rate shown for each tour. Perillo does not offer a share program.
Peter Deilmann Cruises (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available,
though limited single cabins are available on select sailings.
Rocky Mountaineer Vacations (First Class)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. No single share program is available.
SITA Tours (Deluxe)
A Tour member occupying a single room, either by choice or by circumstance, will
pay the single room supplement. Quoted single room rate does not necessarily mean
single occupancy of a double room, as some of the establishments featured in this
web site have especially designed single occupancy units.
Single travelers will pay a single supplement.
Tauck (Deluxe)
Reservations are accepted as "single share if possible." The single
supplement is charged initially; upon departure, if another guest is willing
to share accommodations, the single supplement will be refunded.
Trafalgar (First Class)
Trafalgar will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender.
Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single supplement.
Trafalgar CostSaver (Budget)
Trafalgar CostSaver will match single travelers with a roommate of the same
gender. Single travelers who do not wish to share a room will pay the single
supplement.
Uniworld (First Class)
Uniworld will match single travelers with a roommate of the same gender in select
cabin categories. Single travelers who do not wish to share a cabin will pay the
single supplement.
Viking River Cruises (First Class)
Limited single cabins are available at 150% of the per person double occupancy cruise
price for the lowest category, and 200% for all other categories.
Viking Tours (Deluxe)
Single travelers pay a single supplement. There is no single share program available.
