Click for Dates and Prices Day 1: Arrive Lima
Meet your Contiki Team & group this morning before checking out the city sights. Made up of 43 districts with their own flare, bustling Lima is not short of things to do & with a free afternoon the city’s yours to explore.(D)

Day 2: Lima to Arequipa
We fly to Peru’s second largest city, the “White City” of Arequipa. Delve into the city’s history with a walking tour.(B)

Day 3: Arequipa to Colca Canyon
We drive through Salinas & Aguada Blanca National Reserve (home to the elusive Vicuña) on our way to the Colca Canyon. We visit the village of Chivay for a relaxing hot springs swim & a night at our rustic lodge.(B,L,D)

Day 4: Colca Canyon to Puno
This morning we visit the Colca Canyon & we’ll try & spot the Andean Condor. Later, experience the majestic mountains & lakes of the Andes along the way to Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca.(B)

Day 5: Puno
Catch a lift on a triciclo before cruising Lake Titicaca to experience the island of Taquile & the floating Uros Islands. Experience the unique cultures & way of life here as we visit locals & see their handmade crafts & famous textiles.(B,D)

Day 6: Puno to Cusco
First up is Pukara & its ancient Inca ruins, where there’s a chance to buy their famous artistic ceramic bulls. See the last remaining 2 storey Inca walls in Raqchi before reaching the heart of the ancient Incan empire, Cusco.(B)

Day 7: Cusco
The modern-day starting point for visits to Machu Picchu, we’ll explore this ancient city on foot, then the afternoon’s yours. Head out & explore - from Inca buildings, intricate colonial architecture, artisan shops to boutiques, delicious cuisine & adrenaline activities, there’s lots to experience.(B,D)

Day 8: Cusco to Sacred Valley
Today we explore the Sacred Valley. Take a guided tour of the Pisac ruins before a stop in Ollantaytambo, one of Peru’s oldest towns.(B)

Day 9: Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes
Adventure & adrenaline await! From biking & hiking to rafting there’s lots to experience today before we take the train to Aguas Calientes this afternoon.(B,D)

Day 10: Aguas Calientes to Cusco
Wake early & be among the first to enter Machu Picchu to see the sun rising above the mountain tops. Learn more about Machu Picchu as you tour with your guide, then spend some time exploring in your own time before returning to base.(B)

Day 11: Cusco
Feed your adrenaline urges with activities like mountain biking & rafting. Get into Cusco’s amazing nightlife, try a “Cerveza Cusquena” & dance the night away & join our Illary (Sunrise) Club! (B)

Day 12: Cusco to Jungle Lodge
Fly over the Andes to Puerto Maldonado in Peru’s southern jungle. After a jungle hike to the canopy tower, take to the shores with a flashlight to spot caiman, a native Amazonian alligator! (B,L,D)

Day 13: Jungle Lodge to Puerto Maldonado
Board a simple catamaran & keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, like the giant otter, or try your luck fishing for piranha, before spending the afternoon relaxing.(B,L,D)

Day 14: Puerto Maldonado to Lima
Your tour ends on arrival in Lima, where it’s time to say ‘adios!’ to your travel mates.(B)
