Days 1 & 2 BeijingArrive in Beijing and discover the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the awe-inspiring Great Wall. Day 3 Train to the Roof of the World Admire stunning landscapes on one of the world's greatest train journeys. Days 4 - 8 Lhasa Enjoy a cooking class and visit Potala Palace, precariously built on a hilltop. Stop by Jokhang Temple and the turquoise Nam-tso Lake. Day 9 Samye Spend the night in the atmospheric shadow of Tibet's oldest monastery, Samye. Day 10 Gyantse Drive across the Kamba Pass and make the pilgrim circuit at Pelkor Chode Monastery. A visit to Kumbum Chorten is an unforgettable experience - its five storeys represent the five steps to enlightenment. Days 11 & 12 Shigatse Join pilgrims at the Tashilhunpo Monastery and browse curios and produce at the Shigatse Bazaar. Day 13 Sakya Marvel at the beautiful art of the Sakya Monastery. Days 14 Everest National Park Discover one of the world's highest monasteries, Rongphu before trekking up to Everest Base Camp. Day 15 Zhangmu As the Tibetan Plateau abruptly ends, the harsh landscape gives way to lush green valleys. Day 16 Dhulikhel Travel across the Nepalese border and delight in panoramic views of the Himalayas. Days 17 - 19 Kathmandu Walk at a leisurely place through the atmospheric streets of Kathmandu. Days 20 - 22 Chitwan National Park Spot exotic wildife in Chitwan National Park. Day 23 Lumbini The final stop in Nepal is Lumbini, the site of Buddha's birth. Day 24 Varanasi India's holy city is a hive of religious life and colour. Spend time witnessing the spiritual rites taking places on the Varanasi ghats. Day 25 River Ganges Boat Trip Travel down the Ganges and spend a night camping on the riverbank. Days 26 & 27 Varanasi Back in Varanasi it's time to witness an evocative candle flower ceremony. Days 28 & 29 Orchha Orchha is a historical masterpiece full of stone temples and palaces. Day 30 Agra Visit one of the finest monuments ever constructed, the Taj Mahal of Agra. Also explore the grounds of the amazing Red Fort. Days 31 & 32 Delhi The Asian adventure concludes in dizzying Delhi, India's capital.
