A warm "aloha" awaits visitors to Hawaii. Highlights of the islands include Kauai's Waimea Canyon, also known as the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific," the steaming fire pits and lava tubes of Volcanoes National Park on the Big Island, Haleakala Crater on Maui, and Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial in Honolulu. Swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach are favorite pursuits. Tours that focus exclusively on the South Pacific islands are very rare. You are more likely to find Fiji and Tahiti on itineraries to Australia and New Zealand. Bali is included on some itineraries in Southeast Asia.
